In the artist's own words: “The bridge crossing the river is the subject. This photo was taken because of the historic and magnificence of this great bridge. On a historic standpoint, this bridge was used during various beheadings in Cambridge history. They would place the recently executed head on the bridge as a public display for anyone who would think of going against the city of Cambridge or the king and queen of England. On a picture standpoint few people would take the time to add decorative displays to a modern bridge. The artwork on the bridge gives a feel of elegance and power looming over the rest of the river. It is from a time long ago that should be remembered."
