In the artist's own words: “This picture was taken in an effort to capture the antique (historic) atmosphere of Lucca, a town outside of Florence. It's meaningful to me because it reminds me of the joy I feel when experiencing the culture of a new country, even if all I'm doing is walking down the street and gazing at the architecture."
