In the artist's own words: “This is a photograph of the Great Court at the British Museum. It is the largest covered courtyard in all of Europe. The radius of the glass dome is approximately 165 feet. The circular structure in the center of the courtyard is a reading room. Visiting the museum with my London studies class, I was fascinated by the unique dome. To me it was as interesting as the museum's exhibits, and I sat for awhile admiring it. The vastness and clarity of the dome was captivating from all angles. I especially liked this view, where the dome is visible through the windows of the reading room."
