In the artist's own words: “Detail adorning Christ Church on the Spilt Blood brought upon incredible feelings of symbolism. Such attention to such a monumental building denotes its importance. It also (this image) captures the colorful detail so typical of Russian Architecture. This stood out as even more extraordinary as the spires reach to the heaven in magnificent colors."
